Flicker

"Flicker" is the collective title for this large series of small burned figures. (Seen rapidly in sequence, they flicker like flames.) Like "Defining Acts," these figures originated as identical images (these are female forms) and became unique in the act of their destruction.

The remaining ashes and unburned pieces of each figure are collected and stored so that all elements of the work can remain whole.
